MDM (Mobile Device Management):
Allows you to centrally manage mobile devices connected to a domain and ensure the security of their data.
Scalable and manageable storage: University required at least 700 TB of cloud storage for the entire domain. The ability to flexibly manage limits was critical – for example, allocating a specific amount of storage (up to 30 GB) to each student or faculty member, as well as controlling the space on shared drives.
Software Budget Optimization: The institution was using a separate paid video conferencing service. They needed a solution that would eliminate unnecessary expenses and enable them to transition to a single subscription with built-in online meeting functionality.
Maintaining user friendliness: Any new solution had to be user-friendly and not complicate the work of thousands of students and teachers. It was important to maintain the high level of engagement and intuitive interface everyone had become accustomed to.
After analysing existing platforms, the decision was made to upgrade to a Google Workspace for Education Plus subscription. This plan proved to be the perfect solution, covering all the university’s needs within a single ecosystem.
Google Meet, included in the subscription, allowed the university to completely eliminate third-party paid video conference services, resulting in direct budget savings.
