For most companies, the website is the main sales channel and the storage for customer and order data. A failure can happen for many reasons: an error after an update, a technical fault, or an outage at the hosting provider.
Setting up a backup in advance is easier than looking for a solution in the middle of an outage. One day of downtime costs a business more than paying for a backup for a whole year.
Imagine your website has a spare twin, created and maintained by the Elcore Cloud team. It is stored in the AWS cloud separately from your main server and contains your website files, database, and customer data. While everything runs as usual, you will not even think about it. If the main server suddenly becomes unavailable, the website can be quickly launched from this copy, and customers can place orders again.
Under the AWS program for small and medium-sized businesses, we, as an AWS Advanced Consulting Partner, help companies take advantage of the program. You choose one of two options.
Option 1: current hosting and a copy on AWS
Your website stays with your current hosting provider and works as before. Separately, in the AWS cloud, we store its up-to-date copy with the database, files, and customer data. If the main server becomes unavailable, the website can be quickly restored from this copy.
Option 2: both the copy and the hosting on AWS
We migrate your website to AWS and set up its copy there as well. The first year of hosting on AWS is free, and the migration is covered by AWS funds.
In both options, the first year costs $0, then from $1 per month. The price after the first year depends on the data volume of your website and the number of stored copies, and for hosting also on the resources actually consumed. We can give exact figures after assessing your website.
The setup is paid for by AWS funds, so you do not need to budget for it. More than 200 businesses already work with us on AWS infrastructure.

Not necessarily. You can keep your current hosting and add a copy on AWS, or move the website to AWS together with the copy.
Such backups are useful, but they usually sit on the same infrastructure as the website. The copy on AWS is stored separately from it.
These are funds that AWS allocates under the program for setting up your project. You pay nothing for the setup and do not need to reimburse anything later.
